In 1997 I was in Argentina giving some concerts. On that occasion, a reserved and polite man approached me introducing himself as a pianist from Buenos Aires and asked me if we could meet to spend some time together. I thought he wanted to talk about jazz, listen to some music and take a coffee. However, when we were both in front of a piano, I was amazed: after listening him play, I realized I have just met a great artist, a talented pianist who gives his own style to that music we call jazz. Marc Copland
At the age of 34, the Argentinean pianist Ernesto Jodos is considered one of the most original and creative figures of contemporary jazz. Being the undisputed referent of the Argentinean jazz scene, he has been praised by some of the international great stars of the jazz world, such as Marc Copland –one of his mentors- and Michael Brecker.

This year he will record his ninth album with Sony/BMG Argentine.
Along his career, he has played in the most prestigious jazz clubs and theatres of Argentina and he toured several Latin American countries, such as Chile, Colombia and Uruguay; in 2006 he went on tour in Spain, playing together with Horacio Fumero and David Xirgu in the mythical jazz clubs Jamboree (Barcelona) and Jazz Cava (Terrasa), among others.
